The Perfect Neighbor
Lorincz repeatedly called the police to complain about children in the neighborhood, including Owens’s kids, playing in a vacant lot near her home. Although the lot did not belong to her, Lorincz, who lived alone and worked from home, became increasingly agitated by the noise. She often screamed insults at the children and admitted to using racial slurs. The documentary’s title comes from Lorincz’s self-characterization during one of her many calls to the police: “I’m like the perfect neighbor”.
